Dublin descriptors
D1. Knowledge and understanding: of the specific language of the discipline; the main metabolic pathways involved in Laboratory Medicine; identification and practical use of Biomarkers in acute and chronic organ diseases.
D2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: knowing how to entertain debates and interactive discussions in the classroom; be able to identify research topics through bibliographic research.
D3. Judgment skills: knowing how to develop and manage a critical reflection on the alteration of some metabolic pathways.
D4. Communication skills: knowing how to better manage communication using a specific technical language of the discipline
D5. Learning skills: acquire adequate skills for the analysis and critical evaluation of biomarkers useful for diagnosis and / or prognosis, with a view to patient-centric approach and medicine 4 or 7P. Demonstrate the ability to search for useful information in clinical and research problem solving; application skills of the acquired knowledge
Course Structure
Interactive Lectures with use of ppt slides containing movie clips, links to Web sites and lecture.
Should teaching be carried out in hybrid mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus
The final exam will be oral
Learning assesment may also be carried out electronically, should the conditions require it.
"Information for students with disabilities and / or LSD"
To guarantee equal opportunities and in compliance with the laws in force, students concerned can ask for a personal meeting in order to plan any compensatory tools and / or dispensatory measures, based on the didactic objectives and individual needs. For further information, it is also possible to contact the referent professor for CInAP (Center for Active and Participatory Integration - Services for Disabilities and / or LSD) of our Department, Prof. Teresa Musumeci.
