LABORATORIO DI TECNICHE ANALITICHE AMBIENTALI - COSTITUZIONE CHIMICA DELLE MATRICI AMBIENTALI
Module LABORATORIO DI TECNICHE ANALITICHE AMBIENTALI

Academic Year 2024/2025 - Teacher: VALENTINA GRECO

Expected Learning Outcomes

Provide a solid background in chemical principles that are particularly important for Analytical Chemistry. Provide the basic knowledge of the solution equilibria, volumetric and gravimetric analysis, and use of common instrumental methods in analytical chemistry. The course is also aimed to develope the right analytical sensitivity required for the chemical laboratory.

Knowledge and understanding: The aim of the course is to provide a first framework for the overall synthesis of analytical chemistry, addressing principally the fundamentals and the use of some of the most important instrumental quantitative techniques of analysis.

Applying knowledge and understanding: Ability to understand, design, implement and adapt an analysis process from sampling to final data processing.

Making judgements: Ability to analyze and critical evaluations, ability to interpret analytical data and synthesis of new and complex ideas;

Communication skills: Ability to expose the topics covered with terminological rigor and language properties, also making use of multimedia presentations.

Learning skills: Ability to tackle advanced studies with a high degree of autonomy.

Course Structure

The course is held in co-teaching with  Prof. A. Giuffrida for n. 3 CFU of laboratory.

The course will be carried out through a first part of lectures to provide the student with the basic background for entering the laboratory, and a part of the laboratory that includes participated lessons, simulations and quantitative analysis with single and group work typology.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
